Coinbase, the largest US-based crypto exchange and arguably most newbie-friendly, is planning to launch an NFT marketplace. Previously, tokens that were listed on Coinbase pumped hard on announcements.

Something similar might happen with NFTs that millions of Coinbase users will see for the first time. So what NFTs will get listed on Coinbase? This post summarizes what we know from the original announcement.

  • What: Needs no introduction, the most expensive PFP project.
  • Quantity: 10,000
  • Floor price: about 100 ETH.

Pudgy Penguins

  • What: Launched in July 2021, this is a collection of randomly generated cartoonish penguins. There are also some gifts that in December will drop to holders.
  • Quantity: 8,888
  • Floor price: 2 ETH.
  • 7-day trading volume: $12 million.

Cool Cats

  • What: A collection of randomly generated and stylistically curated cats. Holders can participate in exclusive events such as NFT claims, raffles, community giveaways, and more.
  • Quantity: 9,999
  • Floor price: 8.69 ETH.
  • 7-day trading volume: $56 million.

CryptoKitties

  • What: Launched in 2017, this project by Dapper Labs laid the foundation for the ERC-721 standard and caused the congestion of the Ethereum network.
  • Quantity: >2 million, unlimited supply.
  • Floor price: n/a but should be about 0.008 ETH (which is the cost to breed to Kitties).

BoredApesYachtClub

  • What: BAYC are a popular PFP project that doubles as a membership card with access to benefits, including a collaborative graffiti board. Future areas and perks can be unlocked by the community through roadmap activation.
  • Quantity: 10,000
  • Floor price: 36 ETH.
  • 7-day trading volume: $18.6 million.

Art Blocks Curated

  • What: Curated items from the Art Blocks product suite. Submissions are made by individual artists or collaborations and approved by the curation board before they go live.
  • Quantity: 40,200
  • Floor price: 1.2 ETH.

Forgotten Runes Wizards Cult

  • What: Launched in June 2021 with a mint price of 0.07 ETH, Wizards aim to create a universe with derivative art based on the characters and write 'lore' instead of floor.
  • Quantity: 10,000
  • Floor price: 0.625 ETH.

  • What: The creators of MoonCats that "have been rescued" and put on the blockchain.
  • Quantity: 18,200 on-chain out of 25,440 total.

The blog post announcing Coinbase NFT didn't mention any projects but it included screenshots that revealed a few more projects.

Smart Zombie Lab

  • What: A collection of cartoonish randomly generated zombies.
  • Quantity: 2,550.
  • Floor price: 0.02 ETH.

Woodies Generative Characters

  • What: Woodie Mint passports were sold on September 19, 2021 with a price of 0.08 ETH.
  • Quantity: 5,100 (10,000 max)
  • Floor price: 0.309 ETH.

Are those fictional NFTs?

Silly Socks Singing Soiree — there are no mentions anywhere on OpenSea or Twitter. This could be a play on Uniswap Socks.

@Subtlegradient, the creator of another NFT on the screenshot appears to be a lead UI engineer at Coinbase with accounts on OpenSea and Foundation. Also a member of Creators of Intense Art (CiA) and Blocktronics.
